updates are nice
a few weeks ago, we had a board retreat for la reunion. when asked why i was there and what i brought to the table, i stumbled and stuttered - a bit like miss south carolina. it was a loaded question, kindof like asking why i love my kids or something. not an easy answer and yet 1000 easy answers at the same time. whatever. it's been on my mind lately.
the countdown to the marfa roadtrip is on. 8 women in two cars heading west for 5 days has the makings of a cheesy movie, we know. but my gosh, it's an amazing opportunity. the lovely cari has initiated a marfa-mix-cd-challenge. a fabulous prize offered to the winner - we promise! we'll judge the compilations during the 9 hours out or the 9 hours back. email me for more info and i'll get ya'll in touch. i'm not real sure how it gets any better than big sky, massive ranch lands, and art. lots more when we get back. boy oh boy.
i freakin love fall. as cliche as it sounds, fall is my spring - oh and the mere prospect of wearing a fabulous scarf makes me giddy. i ordered a slew of used books on amazon - marking my desire to continue to grow during this time. all this awesome reading coupled with a bit of really intense lucid dreaming and new-found health with bikram yoga.... um, stuff is really different in my life.
no more updates for the sarah-jane-land blog. this is kinda lame, upon re-reading. pictures soon. other stuff's been going on with accompanying photographs.
