sept 12 - moving on

so i had sushi for the second time ever last night. i'm neutral about it. don't love it but know i can ingest it. it was cute, however, when the children were slurping back pickled ginger like it was candy with their chopsticks.

moving on. the independent curator gigs that keep rolling in are great fun. they polish me for future lrtx stuff, i can just feel it. the show at artclub was packed last thursday and i did take pictures although i'm ashamed to say they're still on my camera. it's been my schtick lately to bust out some of my awesome vintage dresses i don't wear much anymore. a picture of the artclub dress is in order - i'll get to it. then there was the exhibit at artizen in the design district last saturday. gorgeous flow of some talented dallas artists. nyddia and erica helped me hang. those girls rock and it felt like old pigeon-stone days for a few hours. both exhibits are open this saturday for gallery walk. yay.

speaking of this saturday. lotsa awesome stuff going on. between shows i'm producing and shows out and about, i may not sleep. 'another little piece of my art' is at kettle and features many gal pals. it's also jiri's bday this weekend! my little man will be 6! argh. denial denial.

conversation on the porch the other night - some blogs these days are nothing more than slam books. think about it - whether you're middle school or your mid-twenties, they still exit - just online! growing up, i was never in one town long enough nor was i cool enough to orchestrate or be a part of one, but i can spot one a mile away. it's awesome to be able to look the other way now. gossipy, whiney stuff just ain't for me. toxic. i'm lookin' at you myspacefacebook.

art con docs are signed sealed and about to be delivered this morning! i scoped out a potential venue yesterday and if it works out - the conspiracy begins! wahahaha. i'm not executing the event again this year, although i might be a volunteer. from here on out, i'm taking an active role on the board to steer art con into a new set of people over the next many years and have a say about the vision jason and i originally had.

peace out for now.
