residency visit
our vacation wasn't all play even though *gasp* i did leave my computer home and only took a couple of calls. on our way home, well, not exactly on our way, we stopped off in the delightful little town of eureka springs, arkansas and checked out the writer's colony, a residency program devoted to writers and composers. sharon and jane took a great deal of time out of their day to tell me all about their programming and share with me the clever collaboration with corporate america for various aspects of their brick and mortar costs. they feature a state of the art sponsored kitchen (above) for cookbook writers! it's bizarre but it works and is invaluable to their programming.
