i love dallas: where else can an evening go like this?

patrick and i went to an awesome lecture last night at the rachofsky house. led by charissa terranova, it was about the house itself and its white white walls. twas nice to scratch that philosophical architecture itch i got to experience at ud. it's funny, i didn't make too many a's in college (embarassing, but true) but i did in art and architecture as well as several of my philosophy classes. the sad truth is i realized i wanted to change my major half way through, but was so far down the chemistry/physics/math trail at that point i could not. alas. in any event, the rachofsky house is sight to behold and wander through. and the art ain't too shabby either.

after a lovely dinner alone at the cosmic cup and orchestrating the hanging of vladimir's show at the magnolia (sorry no pics), i met paulie at sons of hermann hall for the new year.

and who knew shellac was sooooo good live. i'd never buy the album and listen with the kids while we homeschool but i sure will catch them live if they come through again:
