beware: it's a rambler.

not too much to say lately. well, really a lot, but not fit for public consumption. the reality of how much my life is always changing is rearing its head: you should see the pile of girl scout cookies in my living room. my gosh. expect calls/emails soon, people. checks can be made out to 'girl scouts of tejas council.'

i could mention my weekend, i suppose. i whisked my sweet husband away to denton (of all places), a location only dictated by the close proximity of my sister, who watched the children while we were gone. we went to the coffee shop and gawked at college kids. and while it seems like just yesterday i was one, now they all look like little kids. we checked out the vinyl at the used book/record store and had dinner at the pan-asian place. we had a beer and a game of darts at 'the loop hole' and attended the art prostitute opening. after plunking down 10 bones, i got the back of my cute, but cheap, target corduroy coat screen printed. i feel all custom now.

there's a couple of openings this week, i should mention and that will most assuredly get more web time later in the week, but..... shannon sullivan at sozo on thursday PM from 7 to 9. i love this girl's work and cannot express how badly i want one. and i think i might just get one. it's the most lovely stuff. also, saturday is carissa's show at continental from 7 to 10. this girl is one amazing photographer. i adore her work and am very proud to be showing it. she's got 'it' people. go to www.pigeonstoneproject.com for addresses and teaser images etc etc.

ah, and lest i forget: i'm super excited to go see the SMU production of the vagina monologues. hey, if i'm gonna participate in such nonsense as a manufactured halmark holiday, what better way to do it? i'm glad paul is on board with this kind of cynical sentiment. not many folks get it. 'cause there's nothing cheesier than a bad pink ice heart pendant followed by a really bad steak dinner and some cheap roses. end of rant.
