i'm back. ptl. the ranch was beautiful, thanks for asking. yes i took a million pictures and the firecrackers were fun. hell yeah.
moving on:
smart commons. it's a good idea. friendster? kinda, but not really. i fired friendster, it was so stooopid. myspace? again, sorta. i'm still on myspace somewhere. linked-in? if i can ever navigate the thing, i'll let you know. orkut? closer, but not quite. ok, it's like a combination of all of those, but with the ability the share stuff too. music, books, whatever. "Labeling, managing and sharing what you have in common with the people you trust."
something along the lines of organizing and maximizing relationships you already have. taking it offline and into the real world with groups, get-togethers, books, whatever. organizing the stuff/conversations/goals/projects in yer community.
ok, but it's even cooler than that. because you can have yer whole family under one 'persona' and all your i'm-pickin-up-hot-guys/gals under another persona, and yet another where you reveal only what you want to to the professional scene you are in.... it's still you, but the you that is appropriate to show to the appropriate people. the professional folks don't give a rat's a#@ if you think thunderstorms are a turn-on. or whatever.
