this christmas....
{i was a little over-top-militant when i first wrote this last night. i'm severely altering what i first wrote. here's what i experienced while tossing and turning in my sleep... how i feel obligated to alter what i write because of an audience of potential clients, family, friends, whatnot. i don't want to make people wrong. just re-think the current state of 'christ'-mas.}
some alternatives to traditional consumerist christmases past we've been toying with are:
1. Hundred Dollar Holidays: spend a hundred dollars or less. period. (thank you daniel for this one.)
2. Buy Nothing Christmas: buynothingchristmas.org
3. Recycled Christmas: make stuff. recycle stuff. enjoy the creativity.
4. Donated Christmas: donate money to each person's favorite charities. here's the one we donate to.
gawd, i'm a wimp. i'll shut up now.
