katie and i went to the maya lin lecture at the univeristy of dallas and it was....
inspiring,
uplifting,
humbling,
encouraging,
fascinating,
riveting,
and great for people watching.
i didn't know much about her except for the controversial vietnam memorial that she designed when she was 21. to hear her speak about her own work and how it has matured over the years was simply delightful and truly generous of her. i'm so glad i went.
