they wore the same tie!
i think i was most distracted by the fact the kerry and bush wore exactly the same thing last night. the jacket, the tie, the shirt, even the flag pin on the right-side lapel. my mind wandered around the idea that maybe there is an equation that's been generated to produce a 'look' for a candidate so he'll appear more 'presidential' and official. maybe both camps got their hands on such an equation, thinking they had the advantage. (this is beginning to sound like a flaming lips song) i wonder if there was alarm and surprize when both candidates walked out in exactly the same clothes. like, did the wives snicker and chuckle to one another?
or maybe it's just somewhere in the long list of debate rules.
