yawn. i'm exhausted, but happy.
the SOTA show friday night went great. thank you to all who came out. i know the debates kept many away, and that's ok. good reason to stay home, in my book. the only other thing i have to say about friday is i'm terribly bummed i missed the bright eyes show in ft worth. my inner 14 year old is devastated. simply devastated. let me not lie, i am a huge fan. no shame.
saturday. ah, saturday at the gallery. what else can i say but thank you texas/ou fans for a delightful afternoon of people watching. the chanting back and forth in the coffee shop was especially fantastic when i had the realization that all these people had driven many many miles to watch a game on tv that was happening across the street. superb. and thank you to the boys who rented out an exposition avenue storefront and brought in a couch, a big screen tv and a rug (can you believe it?! a rug!) to watch the game on tv across the street from the actual event. the irony of course is they were selling "tickets" to the game. and supposedly really good ones at that.
and the hootenanny in my bedroom that lasted until 2 AM? that was great. thank you. i'll post all those pictures once i can get them printed. good memories.
